The Hospital provides 24 hours medical coverage. Emergency patients and all non- emergency patients who come to the Hospital outside normal working hours will be attended by our Medical Officer on duty. If you need to be seen by a Specialist Consultant, we will make the necessary arrangements for you. Should you request a Specialist Consultant during after work hours, an additional charge will be levied.Payment
Patients are required to place a deposit or a Guarantee Letter upon admission. An initial deposit is required prior to receiving services. The person responsible for payment must ensure the required deposit amount is given within 24 hours of admission. Deposit amounts are based on the estimated total costs of services expected to be provided by the Hospital and your Doctor. Bills should be settled in full on presentation. Accepted mode of payment by Cash or Credit Card only. The deposit will be utilized against patients final bills and any balance due will be refunded. Patients are required to settle all accounts before leaving the Hospital.Valuables
Patients are advised not to leave their valuables such as jewellery, money, handphones and watches unattended. The Hospital and its staff will not be responsible for any losses incurred in the Hospital.Telephones

HOSPITAL CHARGES
Listed below are our standard hospital room rates at KPJ Penang. KPJ Penang reserves the right to change the rates without prior notice. Please note that actual charges for operations, procedures and outpatient/inpatient care will differ according to the patient's needs, severity of the patient's medical conditions and treatment required/given.
The hospital provides 24 hour medical coverage. Outside regular operating hours are from 5.00 pm ~ 8.00 am. There will be a Medical Officer on duty on Public holidays and during after hours. If you need to seen by a medical specialist, the Hospital will make the necessary arrangements for you.
Inpatient visiting hours are as follows: 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm 6.30 pm - 9.30 pm |
ICU visiting hours are as condition permits. No visitors except close relatives are allowed. We request NO MORE than TWO visitors at one time for the patients benefit. Children below 10 years old are not permitted into the wards.
For the visitors that wish to accompany the patient will be
advice to request for the folderable bed from the nurse counter. The
folderable bed charges are at RM35.00 per night.
CONCIERGE & CUSTOMER SERVICE
Concierge services are available at the hospital lobby. Patients with special requirements and guests may also seek assistance from the hospital's customer service desk.
CALL-BELL SERVICE
A nurse call-bell is placed at every patient's bedside and in the bathroom.
FOOD SERVICE
Meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided to patients during their stay. These are included in the room charges. Additional meals will be charged accordingly. The meals are prepared from 5 star hotel experienced chef and closely supervised by a dietician.
Patients can choose from a menu of Western, Chinese, Malay, Healthy Children's Menu and full or soft diet. (Depends on the patient's needs)
TELEPHONE & INTERNET
Telephones and Wi-Fi Services are provided in the VVIP and VIP Suites, and Single rooms. Public telephones are available at various locations within the hospital.
There is a surcharge for telephone calls and Internet (WIFI) services for other rooms.
TELEVISION WITH ASTRO FACILITIES
All rooms have televisions with Astro services.

A cafeteria is located on the Ground Floor of the hospital.
